Japan to Reopen Soon? Is it Finally Going to Happen?

Good Morning Gaijin Groupies!

When I woke up this morning, Ayaka reported to me that Japan would be reopening either this month or in June. And according to various news sources, this seems to be the case (keyword being SEEMS).

Some articles include...

Based off what is currently being circulated, here is what Simple Gaijin believes.

While I am hoping that Japan will allow tourists full, unrestricted access to Japan, personally, I do not believe that Japan will be fully reopened at this time. While they may allow tourists to come into the country, according to the Al Jazeera article, gaijin must be on a structured tour to enter the country. If this is true, then it is not a full reopening, preventing gaijin from being able to fully access the entire country.

Stay tuned for further information.
