Update on Simple Gaijin Radio: On Playstation!

Hi Gaijin Groupies,

By now, Simple Gaijin Radio should be up and running. It should be having weekly content.

But life had other plans...

On June 30th, I was diagnosed with COVID-19. Yup, I got infected. My case was mild, with me having loss of smell, hacking dry coughs, and overall body weakness. But I was lucky to have it pretty easy. Doctor just wanted me to take it easy for 2 weeks.

Fortunately, I am cured after my doctor gave me another test yesterday.

But seriously folks, C-19 is NOTHING TO MESS AROUND WITH. If you go out in public or need to go to work, WEAR A ****ING MASK!

So I do apologize for the delay of the first episode.

However, that's not why I am writing today.

After fiddling around with different mediums to try and see how I want to upload my videos to Simple Gaijin Radio on Youtube, I have decided to go with a little different approach.

Most people that know me know that I am an avid gamer of niche Japanese games, most particularly these...

  • 仁王・仁王2 (Nioh・Nioh 2)

  • 信長の野望 (Nobunaga's Ambition)

  • 龍が如く (Yakuza)

Said that, I will be making play throughs as well as talk about various topics about Japan. You can listen to the audio while you browse the internet or go about your day, or you can kick back with a can of Orion (or my case, Budweiser) and watch me play some "classic" Japanese games.

I'll be starting out with Nobunaga's Ambition first. I tried doing an episode with Nioh, but I didn't like that there were too many cutscenes and the swashbuckling, fast pace of the game might make it difficult for me to concentrate on doing the episode while avoiding swords and demons.

So, I'll start of easy with Nobunaga's Ambition: Creation, better known as 信長の野望: 創造 in Japanese. I'll get started on a self-introduction episode at some point tomorrow, and depending on how large the file is for the episode, it should be up by Monday the 21st.

In addition, if any of you Gaijin Groupies want to see me play a certain game from Japan, let me know. If it is within reason for me to get, I might get it!
